Zeus' Throne Fragments Reportedly Found

Fragments believed to belong to an 8th Century BC dedicatory monument known as "Zeus's throne" have reportedly been discovered in Crete.

A news agency reported that Professor Yannis Sakelarakis has told the Athens newspaper To Ethnos that he has uncovered small ivory fragments he believes once belonged to the ivory and gold structure.

The fragments were said to have been found at the archaeological site of Ideon Andron.
