Double Amulet with Tit and Djed Pillar

Circa Saite Period, 664-525 BC 

Description:  Wonderful green glazed composition double amulet consisting of the Tit (Girdle of Isis) symbol conjoined to a Djed pillar. Attachment loop behind.

Width:  0.85 in. (2.1 cm)

Condition:  Very nice glaze and detail. Small portion of the bottom left missing as shown.   

Provenance:  Private New England collection of an Egyptian lady who emigrated to the US in 1956.

Exhibited:  Amarillo Art Center, Texas, October 9, 1974-November 3, 1974, as part of group of amulets (#21).
