Enjoy a Glass of Greek or Roman Wine

When wine-loving Greeks first migrated to Southern Italy, they brought along grape vines that were first planted on the hills surrounding Naples in the Campanian region of Italy.

The great wine making tradition in this region of Italy continues to this day with distinctive local grapes of ancient heritage, including Aglianico, Fiano de Avellino, Coda di Volpe and Greco di Tufo.

The San Francisco Chronicle explore this heritage and discusses the Mastroberardinos, an Italian wine-making family that specializes in wines of antiquity.
