The majority of objects in this comprehensive catalog are related to Egyptian, Greek, Roman and Near Eastern art, but catalog also includes smaller sections on Oriental, Asian, African and Oceanic art. All objects illustrated in full color. There are also informational sections covering suggestions for forming a collection, practical advice for how to buy, useful reference charts on Greek vases types and mythology, and more.  Includes a photocopy fo the original price list from 1985!  Softcover, 200+pages, light scuffing to cover, but overall a clean, usable copy.  This is a must-have reference since many objects sold in the 1980s are now reappearing.  ONE COPY ONLY.

Important objects include: an Achaemenid bronze mirror, Cycladic marble head of a goddess, Hellenistic bronze statue of a pygmy, Egyptian blue frit alabastron inscribed for Darius I, Achaemenid granite footed bowl, Etruscan bronze warrior, fragment from a colossal quartzite statue of Amenhotep III, Egyptian wood statuette of the Royal Scribe Seneb, and a Thasian marble grave stele. Some light scuffing to the cover, otherwise excellent.
