Catalogue XXII Now Available
Fragments of Time is pleased to announce availability of its first catalogue of 2002: Art from the Ancient World XXII. This catalogue, just recently released, covers an expansive array of antiquities from 3000 BC to 600 AD.
Every object has been individually selected because it meets our rigorous criteria of high quality, reasonable price, artistic merit and historical value. As is our usual practice, the catalogue features a variety of objects -- a whopping 25% of the
objects offered -- that are priced at under $300 and ideal for beginning or budget-constrained collectors.
Every object is illustrated in color and fully documented. In addition, every object is provenanced.

- A group of ancient bronze European and Near Eastern weapons from the collection of a late Midwestern gentleman. Objects from this collection include a superb 12.5-inch Irish Dirk Blade with original rivets intact, circa 1500-1300 BC, an Early European
Bronze Age Flat Axe and a Group of Near Eastern Bronze Arrow Heads.
- Neo-Babylonian brick, circa 625-539 BC, marked with a lion and Aramaic script, was exhibited in Leeds, England from 1875, and later was on loan to the Ashmoleon Museum from 1989-1993.
- Roman red brick, circa 2nd AD, from Caerleon, Wales, bearing the cognomina of the Roman Second Legion - LEG II AVG, circa .
- Fine intact faience shabti of Wahibre, circa 664-525 BC, with seven lines of well-delineated hieroglyphic text, and formerly in the early 20th century collection of the famous architect D.F. Slothouwer.
- Terracotta beaker from Ancient Iran, circa 1st half of 2nd Millennium BC, decorated with sensitively painted birds interspersed with shrubs
- Solid Gold Roman crescentic pendant circa 1st/2nd AD
- Superb Roman silver "S" shaped brooch circa 1st-3rd AD
- Extremely rare Greek terracotta figurine of Melpomene, the Muse of Tragedy, circa 3rd BC
- Several fine Greek terracotta statuettes
- Petite Attic red-figure Attic lekythos depicting a leaping fawn, circa 5th century BC
