Banded Roman Redware Bowl with RoulettingCirca 2nd Century AD
Description: Shallow bowl of decorated with a burnished orange-red wash. The interior finished with two groves below the lip. The exterior enlivened with two bands of rouletting around the body and a third just below the lip. A fine example of early Eastern Roman pottery made to satisfy the demand for Gaulish red-gloss pottery. Pleasing and decorative. Height: 5.2 in. (13 cm) Condition: Intact and fine.
